Mining Tyres for Above Ground
Earthmover tyres for surface mining and quarry applications need to withstand some of the most difficult OTR conditions. Intensive use, long operating hours and harsh, rocky conditions demand a tough tyre.
When choosing the right tyre for mining operations a number of factors need to be considered, including:
- Distance of haul
- Required speed
- Operating time
- Surface conditions
- Load
- Maintenance standards
- Climatic conditions
The right tyre for the job is critical to mining operations. An optimised tyre ensures earthmoving equipment performs its best, requires less maintenance and goes the distance. This means mining and earthmoving equipment is operating longer at reduced cost. A good tyre is a good investment.
